Rowing Boat House
The Rowing Boat House at Isekai is a facility of the University of Hamburg, managed by the Hochschulsport Hamburg. The boat facility is located in the Eppendorf district, Isekai 1b, directly on the Isebrücke. The boathouse can be reached by bike (campus boathouse approx. 10min.) or by public transport (U1-Hallerstraße-Klosterstern // a short walk in total approx. 15min.)
Since its establishment, the location on a branch of the Alster has been used for practical sports teacher training and later for university sports courses. In addition to the boat hall, today's boathouse offers a seminar room, office, fitness room, changing rooms / sanitary rooms and a workshop where all repairs can be carried out. The trained boat builder, Sven Tuchel, manages the facility, coordinates the university sports activities and is also a course instructor for Hochschulsport Hamburg .
