Who was gustav Stuhlmacher?

Gustav Stuhlmacher was the sports park manager of the "Institute for Physical Education" (IFL) at the University of Hamburg for many years. His nature, his commitment and his typical Hamburg character made him very unique. After a student had eaten a bag of peanuts (with shells) under the chestnut during a break in the summer, Gustav shouted across the entire square in such a loud volume: "Heinrich fetch a bucket and shovel, the student has finished breakfast!" This sign was put up after his farewell. Although the square was never officially named that way, Gustav's name now appears on city maps.
