Study programm in Health Sciences

By studying Health Sciences at the University of Hamburg, you will follow a diverse and interdisciplinary curriculum that includes psychology, medicine, research methodology, and numerous subject-specific topics (e.g., nutrition science, dentistry, occupational safety). A second major, in addition to the study of educational science, completes the study program. In the Bachelor’s program, you will acquire scientific foundations; in the Master’s program, you will have greater freedom to shape your health science work through projects. Current Topics for Bachelor’s and Master’s Theses

Bachelor’s and Master’s theses can currently be written on the following topics. Each topic may be assigned to multiple students. Collaborative projects are, upon consultation, possible and encouraged.

Bachelors Programm in Health Sciences

In the Bachelor's program, you will acquire a foundation in health sciences, psychology, medicine, and research methodology. The second phase of the Bachelor's program is characterized by a stronger focus on preventive and interdisciplinary challenges in the health professions, the development of counseling skills, and a curriculum that is increasingly project-based and tailored to students' interests. Masters Programm in Health Sciences

In the Master’s Program of the Health Sciences, you will deepen your expertise in the areas of evidence-based training and counseling in health care and health promotion, as well as in collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. You will also expand your research methodology skills through project-oriented academic work. The subject-specific pedagogical content will additionally prepare you for your teaching internship.
